Jimmy Wolk in the Classroom
It is my hope that teachers will use Front of the Class to share my story with their students. Between the bullying that takes place to Brad saying “I just want to be treated like everyone else” their are many lessons to look at with Brad Cohen’s story. So many Character Education words come to mind that were a central theme in this story.

My daughter is almost fifteen, and on the outside she seems to be one of those kids that doesn’t have many problems. She’s thin, smart,pretty and kind and LOVES children. But like most teens, she struggles with where she fits in . She gets teased alot because she has not matured physically yet and gets called flat and a prude. We watched this movie together and it had a fabulous effect on her!! The next day she asked for it for Christmas. It helped her see that being different is ok, that you can wait for the right person to come along, that you CAN make a difference in a childs’ life(she wants to be a teacher, and so much more! Your story has changed how she feels about herself!!!

I am 39 and 18 year veteran school teacher in Toronto, Canada, teaching high school Math. I have taught two boys that I know of that have/had TS. I watched your movie on CBS and was very moved by your story from both aspects. I always love teaching movies that confirm that I am a good teacher, and that also give me ideas of how to still improve my teaching. Also, it is very inspiring to see a male teacher of younger students, there are so few these days. We have to get more men into the younger grades. Congratulations on the movie and on being a great inspiration to lots of kids and adults.

I stumbled on this movie and absolutely loved it. Just watching it makes me feel good and motivates me to be a better teacher. I teach 8th grade Health and this is a perfect example for my Goal Setting and Self-Esteem units. Thank you for giving my kids a positive role model for success. When does this come out on DVD? I saw one post saying January and another April.
