  1. Celeste Strohl Says:

    Brad,

I am so excited for you!!! We can’t wait to see the movie!!

    Take care. Love,

    Celeste

  2. Cortney Hinton Says:

Good God… when do you have time to breathe??? You rock! My husband and I can’t wait to see the movie. Congratulations on all of your accomplishments! If my son frows up to be half as motivated as you … I’ll be one happy camper.

  3. Cortney Hinton Says:

Uh… make that “grows” up. Sorry about the mistake in my last comment.
    Cortney

  4. Kaat Desmet Says:

You WON Brad!! The fight must have been very hard but you won.
I wish we could see the film in Belgium.

We need motivated people like you.

    Regards from Belgium,
    Kaat

  5. Laura Erola Says:

How can I get a copy of this movie “front of the Class”?
I am a grade 6 teacher and would like to show it to my class.
I am currently watching it on tv.
    Thanks very much.
    Laura

  6. The Mom Says:

How dare you… That was just wrong… I’m trying to decorate my glasses case while watching your story so here I am with my hands full and snot running down my face from laughing and crying.
You are a great teacher! I’m a bit disgusted that it took so long for you to be diagnosed. In the late 70s we had a fellow classmate with tourette syndrome and like you and that incredible Principal he taught us about his “constant companion” and it’s normal. I do hope that having seen your story that friend also reached all his dreams and goals.

    Prayers to Heather.

Now stop making me cry I got blinging to do here.

  7. Marvin Antoni Says:

You may not know me, but I just had to comment on your movie and I got to tell you its the best movie ever, its so inspirational.

  8. Flora and Harry Samuels Says:

    Dear Brad:

We’re so proud of you and the outstanding work you’ve done. The Hallmark program was one of the finest ever.
We only wish your grandmother could have been able to share in your triumph.

    Much love,
    Harry and Flora

  9. marilou Says:

I cried through so much of Brad’s movie. I am 71 years old and have so many of the same
tics that Brad has. My neck gets so tired from all of the jerking!:o) I wasn’t diagnosed
until I was 47 years old and I was so happy to finally have a label put on my ‘problem.’
I also have OCD and ADD and I passed this on to three children but they only have slight
cases of it. However, my 16 year old grandson had a full blown case like I have. He can
take a medication for his tics but I can’t take the meds. When I went to a famous clinic
many years ago…they had no idea what I had. I am so happy that Tourettes has come
into the open and people know what it is. In grade school I spent many days in the closet
because of my squeaking and coughing sounds. Thank you Brad! And may you continue to
pass on good things pertaining to Tourettes! Bless you, Marilou

  10. Shel Buck Says:

awesome person! awesome movie ! Thank-you!! The world needs more of you!!

  11. Sean A. Wolfson Says:

Brad, you succeeded not in spite of Tourette’s but BECAUSE of it. You are a STUD!!!! The movie Rocked the world!!! Sean ” Rocky6″ Wolfson – Tourette’s champion Sugar Land TX

  12. Jennifer Says:

Thank you so much for writing the book and making the movie. This movie is a gift to our family! I have two children with TS, and we strive to parent them within the realities of TS and understanding what they cannot control while at the same time, encouraging them to reach for excellence in all they do, to set high standards and push toward them. I think this movie exemplifies that balance perfectly!

I asked friends and family and my children’s teachers to watch Front Of The Class last night. I’ve already gotten some good feedback from some of them. Thanks for this tool to educate people about my children. An online friend who has never even met my family wrote to tell me she watched the movie and fell in love with my children long-distance because of it.

I cannot wait to purchase this movie and show it to my children. I know you will inspire them! I just can’t say it enough. Thank you!

  13. Karen Barr Says:

Brad, you are such an inspiration. I watched the movie, and I can’t wait for my 13 year old son KJ, who has tourettes, to watch the movie too. Thank you for sharing your story with us.

  14. Elizabeth H. Says:

Just saw the movie last night and it was GREAT. Decided to come find out more. I’m glad to hear it was fairly true to real life.

  15. Nancy Riehl Says:

I missed the TV movie…any idea when it can be seen again?
    I heard it was great!

  16. Sheila Haymore Says:

Is the movie available on DVD? Excellent.

  17. Jason Lam Says:

I’d just like to thank you for inspiring me to become more in life. That movie that aired December 7th changed my whole entire view on tourette’s. It’s great to see people who follow their dream and tackle the things in life that prevent them from doing so.

  18. Patty Ryan Says:

I wanted to say I enjoyed the movie…I laughed and cried. It was wonderful to see how you overcame your disability. I wish everyone had a principle that would educate the children on the fact that all children are different….and sometimes even if you are different, you don’t have a choice to be like everyone else. I am glad your mother supported you like she did….and I’m glad you took her advice and wrote the book. I haven’t read it but after seeing the movie, I am going to. I am also glad you found someone who has also accepted you for you. Your wife sounds wonderful!!.
Keep up the fight and just so you know….others look up to you…and not just your students!!

  21. Wanita G Says:

I loved this movie it was so awesome and thank you Brad for sharing your trials and triumphs with every one.I have a 13 year old son who has a lot of special needs issues.Public schools are nightmare for us. He will be entering High School next fall and he is very scared
I hope this will be available on DVD at some point soon. I would love to have a copy for my son to watch so he can see he is not alone out there and your goals are reachable. He wants to be a special-ed tech. I think him being able to watch this movie would be a huge benefit for him to watch because we run into the nightmare of no one understanding the issues. They try to force him to control his impulsive behavior
He has an uncontrollable laugh and every one just thinks he is being disrespectful. I have expalained that he can’t help it but no one listens.Anyhow I was glad this movie was made and wish there were more like them available, Any way Keep up the great work and congratulations on all your accomplishes.

  22. Nancy McKenzie Says:

I loved the first half of the movie and want to see the rest. I set my TV to record the movie and it only recorded the first hour. Now I’m on a search to either find the movie or the book so that I can watch it and share it with my family. My first son, Isaiah, (age nine) and probably my other two son’s (age seven) have Tourette’s. Isaiah has been very brave and had a little question and answer time in his third grade classroom to explain tourette’s to his classmates. Please let me know if it will be aired again.

  23. Debby Parent Says:

Dear Brad, You are a remarkable man and certainly have proven that if you work hard and want something bad enough you can get it. Positive thinking is a wonderful attribute. Words not spoken in our home were “I can’t” or “you can’t”. Hallmark and a fantastic man portraying you was beyond my expectations. It’s special teachers that make a difference in peoples lives. Jimmy Wolk was Brad Cohen. You’ve made an impact on so many and I’m sure that they see things in a different light now. G_D Bless you.

  24. karl Says:

Brad . I only caught the last few mins. of movie . Cried .And laughed in releif also. I have tourettes and was always acting like a clown to hide it.Father was same as yours and I now know he didn’t know what was wrong . Tourettes effects everyone in your family . Started drinking really young as I found the alcohol suppressed my tics . Very bad substance to use for medicating tourettes! Tourettes is very hard on me even now but I have a beautiful WOMAN in my life who understands unconditionaly and I could not have as happy of a life without her in it .(Thanks Ellen)I’m very smart but it’s very hard to go to school with this condition and I think it is very important to let the younger kids know it’s ok and they can fit in . Everone has their own personality and tourettes is part of mine . I’m just coming to gripps with it now and people like you ( and Ellen )really really help .It also hurts physically , headaches from eye movements ect. As one other blog read ” you rock !” Thanks so much Brad . Karl

  27. Rebecca Says:

    Brad–
I am a fifth grade teacher. My son is best friends with a boy from our school who has TS. This movie was so good for us to see. When will it be coming out on DVD? I would like to show it to friends and other teachers at my school.

Your book is on my Christmas wish list!!!!!!

  28. Christa Labriola Says:

I have 2 children with TS (17 & 18) and set my TIVO to record Front of the Class and unbelievably while I was watching with my kids just now for some reason the TIVO switched channels so we only saw 1 1/2 hours of the movie. We are all so disappointed. Will it air again or is there somewhere I can rent it? We would love to see the movie in it’s entirety.
Thanks so much. Every child’s life you touch is a blessing.
    Christa

  29. Shanna Says:

My son is 6 and was diagnosed a little over a year ago with TS. It has been rough for him. He has severe head, eye and vocal tics. He has seen the movie and related to it saying “I do that to mom”. He has been around anyone with TS before. I have read books to him and he has watched the movie I have Tourettes but Tourettes doesn’t have me from the TS website. He was in ahh when he saw other kids doing the same things he does. I am trying to set up a group here where I live, but there is nobody with TS here that has come forward yet. I am definitely going to buy this movie when it comes out. I think as he gets older he will understand more and hopefully he will look up to you as a role model to get through the tough times. Thank you so much for sharing your story.
    Shanna

  30. Thomas Rihn Says:

My 13-year old son has a mild care of TS. Somehow we only heard about the movie after it had already played. How do we buy a copy of the movie?

  31. Cobern Says:

My 15 year old son has Tourette’s and I would love to buy a copy of the movie so that his school can help educate their staff and students. How do I purchase a copy? Thank you for everything!

  32. Sheena Wallman Says:

My 6 year old son was diagnosed in the past week with TS. The doctor’s have been monitoring him closely for many eyars, but he was so very young that they could not confirm. As of this week they have determined that it is in fact TS. This movie was recommended to me by someone in my family, but I cannot find a listing for when it might air again. Is there somewhere to purchase this movie? My husband and I were in the hopes of possibly sharing this with our son to let him know that he is not alone.
